About the Illustrator
Maggie Isamoyer is an illustrator from rural Pennsylvania specializing in children’s books and children’s illustration. Maggie is a 2023 graduate of Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design, where she got her Bachelor’s of Fine Arts with a concentration in Children’s Book Illustration.
Maggie has a passion for telling stories to young readers, knowing first hand how special a book can be for a child. She seeks to bring adventure to those readers, creating magical worlds through imagination and encouraging young readers to expand their own imaginations.
Maggie is greatly influenced by nature and loves to travel and hike. When she’s not drawing, she can be found reading fantasy and science fiction books, playing with her niece and nephew, and enjoying the great outdoors, all of which greatly influence her illustrations.
Some of her favorite children’s books from when she was growing up that still inspire her today are “A Bad Case of the Stripes” by David Shannon, “Corduroy” by Don Freeman, and The “Little Critter” series by Mercer Mayer.
